LA FEDERATION DES SERVICES MATERNELS ET INFANTILES
LA FEDERATION DES SERVICES MATERNELS ET INFANTILES est une a.s.b.l. qui coordonne et accompagne des projets « accueil de l'enfant ». La F.S.M.I. assure :
- La création, la promotion et le développement de
services relatifs à la « Petite Enfance » qui
répondent aux besoins des femmes et des familles.
- La coordination de l’action et la formation du personnel
de ses services.
- L’éducation permanente des femmes en relation avec
ses services.
- La représentation de ses services auprès des organisations sociales et politiques.
En Communauté française de Belgique, la F.S.M.I. coordonne les initiatives suivantes : 10 services d’Accueillantes d’Enfants Conventionnées (SAEC) - 9 Services Collectifs de l’Enfance (SCE) – 12 Consultations prénatales et 170 Consultations de Nourrissons (CN) subventionnées par l’ONE.
La F.S.M.I. fait partie intégrante de « Vie Féminine », mouvement féministe d'action interculturelle et sociale. « Vie Féminine », réseau d'éducation permanente, participe à la construction d'une société paritaire qui promeut l'égalité des chances et l'émancipation des femmes. Il est vrai qu'à ce jour encore, la conciliation vie privée - vie professionnelle ainsi que la politique d'accueil de l'enfance ne favorisent pas toujours l'accès des femmes au marché du travail. Pour réagir à ce contexte, depuis longtemps, Vie Féminine s'engage dans une politique de soutien à la création de structures d'accueil de l'enfance, afin de répondre aux réalités de vies des femmes.
''The “Federation des Services Maternels et Infantiles (FSMI)is
a non-profit organization which coordinates and accompanies projects "of
children keepers”. It privileges the role of the parents as actors
and the opening to diversity. The F.S.M.I. ensures:
- Creation, the promotion and the development
of services relative to the "Early childhood" which meet
the needs for the women and the families.
- The coordination of the action and staff
training of his services.
- The further education of the women in relation
to its services.
- The representation of its services near the social and political organizations, concerned with the "Early childhood".
In the French Community of Belgium, the F.S.M.I. coordinates the following initiatives: 10 services of Accessible Officially agreed Children (SAEC) - 9 Collective Services of Childhood (SCE) – 12 antenatal Consultations and 170 Consultations of Infants (CN) subsidized by the Office National de l’Enfance. The F.S.M.I. is integrated in the association “Vie Féminine", a feminist movement of intercultural and social action. "Vie Féminine", is a network of further education, takes part in the construction of an equal society which promotes the equal opportunity and the emancipation of the women. Till today, many inequalities persist in the sector of work. The conciliation private life - professional life and the policy of reception of childhood does not always facilitated the access of the women to the labour market. To react to this problematic, “Vie Féminine” undertake a policy of support for setting-up of reception facilities of childhood, in order to answer to the realities of women.''
